This morning we have been looking at coordinates. We discussed what they are. We created a grid on our whiteboards and plotted given coordinates to create a shape.

This afternoon we have added to the dance we created last week. We worked in small groups to create an 8 beat dance. We then put each dance together to create one big dance.

In music we are finding out how music is made using different instruments.  We enjoyed making our own instruments and trying them out.

This morning we have been representing tenths and hundredths using equipment from our classroom. We then showed the amount as a fraction and as a decimal.  Our final work will make a fantastic display in our classroom.

This morning we have been discussing the use of humour in books. We looked at a map in our class book of the Isle of Fright and found the humorous parts and discussed why the author had used certain words.

This afternoon we read a selection of statements about the UK and we had to decide if they were true or false. We then used an online map to research each statement to find out if we were correct.

Our spelling words for this week to be tested 20th January.

We have had a busy week getting back in the swing of things. We have looked at negative numbers in Maths, writing letters in English and looked at learning logs in our Topic lessons. We are now in our first brass lesson of the new year looking at the names of notes.

This morning we have completed our light up decorations. We added circuits to our creations from yesterday.
